Ijeoma Akunyili and Otto Orondaam’s joins the ranks of Nigerian etching their marks in the global community once again with their recent appointment to the Alumi Board of Harvard Kennedy School.
Ijeoma Akunyili is the daughter of Dora Akunyili, a prominent figure in the Nigerian public service. Her own career milestones, such as becoming the first Black chief medical officer at the Jersey City Medical Center, underscore her leadership and impact in healthcare.
Otto Orondaam’s role as a social entrepreneur and founder of Slum2School Africa highlights his commitment to improving education for children in underserved communities. His experience in community organizing and development consulting brings valuable insights to the HKS Alumni Board, particularly in fostering global connections and alumni engagement
Together with six others elected from various countries, including Mexico and India, Ijeoma and Otto will play a crucial role in enhancing alumni relations, advising on institutional strategies, and strengthening communication channels.
