Nse Ikpe-Etim, Segun Arinze, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), and Mercy Aigbe are set to star in “Force Empire,” a compelling new film directed by filmmaker and actor Ndy Akan. The movie tackles the prevalent issue of sexual assault faced by women within the male-dominated Nigerian Police Force and workplaces at large.
The storyline follows DCP Mfon, portrayed by Nse Ikpe-Etim, who is determined to uncover the perpetrator responsible for assaulting her protege, ASP Halima, played by Enwongoabasi Ibom. Halima’s traumatic experience fuels Mfon’s mission to expose both the culprit and other corrupt officers tarnishing the image of the Nigerian Police Force, despite encountering fierce opposition from higher-ups.
Ndy Akan described “Force Empire” as a film focused on justice, aiming to spotlight exemplary police officers while addressing the actions of a few that have stained the force’s reputation. The film, which also features Tony Umez, Kunle Coker, Sonny McDon, Aniebiet Francis, and Richard Johnson, is slated for nationwide release on August 23, 2024.
