The spirit of Naija is fast becoming synonymous with resilience, determination, passion, and comradeship as Nigerians at home and in the diaspora continue to break boundaries and defy the odds. Clara Chizoba Kronborg and Tunde Onakoya are two more vibrant Nigerians who recently secured their place amongst the list of world record holders, by setting new Guinness World Records for longest interviewing and Chess marathons.
Over the course of fifty-five hours and twenty-four seconds, Clara conducted interviews with ninety individuals from various backgrounds, including politicians, business owners, content creators, actors, and real estate agents. She did this while on board a docked yacht in the city of Marbella, Spain, motivated by the urge to amplify the voices of hardworking women and use their stories to inspire others facing similar challenges.
Meanwhile, Tunde spent 60 hours in the heart of New York’s Times Square battling opponent after opponent in a game of chess. His goal was to raise $1 million for the education of children in Africa. As the founder of Chess In Slum Africa, Tunde’s motivation was to support the dreams of millions of children across Africa who lack access to education.
