Fatherhood is less tedious than motherhood but certainly more complicated. A father is expected to be the head of the family, but it is not so simple nowadays. A father who’s not a provider and comforter is considered useless and absent.
God has helped me to try my best as a father. I have been a married man for over 30 years, against all odds, and a father for over 28 years, through thick and thin. I can say that I have played my part assiduously well. Having all my children (four gentlemen) in England meant taking care of house rents, mortgages, car loans, housekeeping, school fees, clothing, travels, etc.
My wife and I opted for division of labour. She worked on the children as a fulltime housewife while I hustled globally for our upkeep. It has been an epic journey but a triumphant one to the glory of God…
