Paul Fearon, also known as Male Fashion Geek, was born and raised in Spanish Town of St. Catherine in the beautiful island of Jamaica. He is a personal stylist and fashion consultant for men and women but he specialises in men’s fashion.
He is also known for impeccable styling, fashion, colour blocking and outfit coordination for all dress codes.
Fearon is most proud of the impact he’s making locally and internationally with his gift.
What sets him apart from others is his attention to detail, his ability to cohesively arrange clothing of different colours and his creative ability to coordinate various outfits, encompassing formal, casual, streetwear or business attire.
Fearon’s love for fashion started at a very young age in Jamaica while living with his parents who were devoted Christians. As a result, his siblings and he had attending church as a mandatory part of their lives. In Jamaica, attending church involved dressing in one’s best attire at all times, especially on Sunday mornings.
His dad who was also a local preacher would wear jackets with French cuff shirts, big knot ties and tailored trousers. As he got older, he started to emulate his dad’s style of dressing. As the only son of his mom, her mom ensured that he was always neatly attired for church. However, with a more traditional thought process, his dream during his teenage years was to be employed in the banking sector. This was also related to how sharply bankers dressed for work. That dream became a reality after he completed his formal education and was able to gain employment in the banking industry. Over time, his love for fashion and styling intensified and became a passion.
After spending a few years in banking, Fearon emigrated to Toronto, Canada, and this transition further exposed him to Western and European style and fashion. Like a sponge, he quickly absorbed what he could with regards to the fit of clothing, fabrics and anything that he could learn about fashion.
He later relocated to South Florida and was excited to explore other opportunities to further expand his love for fashion delving deeper into colours, prints and the cultural vibrancy associated with Florida.
The surge of social media during the millennial period further contributed to the evolution of his style and immersion into his creative mind. He was afforded the opportunity of sharing his style with a wider audience via his social media handle, “Male Fashion Geek”.
Fearon has been afforded the opportunity of being featured in magazines locally and internationally with the most recent being “Jamaica Vibes”.
He has also been able to tap into another creative aspect of his, and he is the author of a devotional and inspirational book entitled “Tailored Faith-Fate,” available on Amazon globally.
His love for the performing arts from an early age allowed him to also learn and play several instruments, with the keyboard being his main focus. With this skill, he was able to travel with various bands while fulfilling one of his dreams of recording with music artistes.
An avid music and sports lover, Fearon enjoys attending live concerts for music genres such as gospel, reggae and R&B. His favourite sports are track and field, basketball and soccer.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing a game of dominos and using any available time to visit his homeland, Jamaica. He also enjoys relaxing over a cup of latte, and documenting thoughts about life and experiences in writing.
Fearon’s journey to this point has had its various challenges but he has been able to navigate his path while continually working hard with a great degree of consistency, dedication, resilience and a sense of purpose.
